Have you ever wondered why your Facebook fan page isn't getting as many 'likes' as you would like? In this day and age, hits and traffic is all that is needed to make you as famous as you want. And today, we have 12 ways for you to increase the traffic on your Facebook fan page.
1. 'What's In It For Me?'
The number one question that visitors and potential followers ask while visiting a fan page is that 'what's in it for me?' So, give them a 'reason' to follow your page. New attractions. Modifications. Continuous upgrades are a must.
2. Enter the Incredibles
Many people choose to offer deals in order to get more likes. However, this method isn't as efficient as one would like. If you want more likes on your fan page, convince the demographic that it will lead you and help you be a part of the 'in crowd'. Convince people that by liking the page, they would remain informed and they will be able to contact you directly if they have any questions.
3. Make It Prominent
Most websites make it very hard to find their Facebook fan page. Our advice to you is to make your website discoverable. Make your fan page a hit. Make it easier for everyone to access your Facebook page.
4. Be Personable And Likable
Make sure to respond and reply to all queries by your followers. It creates an impression that you care. And people find you more likable. Hence, all the 'likes'.
5. Make Them Feel Special
Before posting videos on your site, post them up on your fan page. This creates an illusion that your followers are a part of your community. Make everyone feel special instead of just telling them that they are a part of a so called community.
6. Generate Content Through Facebook
Post statuses that would enable the user to interact with your community in real time. For example if you have photography fan page, you can post:
"You might be a photographer if…"
This would be helpful when each and every user reads it and replies according to their own stature and style. Everyone in your community would then interact and meet new people and make new friends while doing so.
7. Don't Annoy Your Followers Into 'Unliking' Your Page
Keep your followers entertained by providing information that they value. Anything other than that is going to force your followers into oblivion. Be relevant. Be quick. Be witty.
8. Make Your Followers Ask For More
Keep updating your fan page. If you stay complacent for too long, your fans will forget you even exist (reality of life).
9. Surveys Are The Way To Go
Asking questions on your page is the best way to interact with your followers. 1 out of every 15 followers engage when a question is posted with polling options.
10. Be Culturally Sensitive
“torch” may be a flashlight to those in the UK, but the word means a flaming stick to people in the United States. Biscuits, water closet, trousers, chips, units of measure, and dozens of other words are also common problems.
Be observant, understand your demographic and it wont hurt to learn commonly used words in different parts of the world. It helps your followers connect with you more.
11. Create A Post Launch Via Facebook
Make your fan base anxious. Build up anticipation for what your going to present to your followers.
Post up something like: "It's almost here!" a day or two before the actual presentation. And announce time the time and date when the post will actually be upped. This helps get a lot more attention from the fan base. And also keeps your fan page alive.
12. Make Mistakes And Let Your Fanbase Correct You
Intentionally forget something or make a 'mistake' on your fan page. We can bet that many of your followers come to your 'rescue' and help you 'correct' your mistake.
