5 Reasons Why You Are Not Making Money With Your Blog

Blogging is undoubtedly the road to riches, I have already explained it in my article "Is Blogging Really The Road To Riches" This article will explain you the five key-factors due to which you are not making money online with your blog. Though there are tons of factors, However here we will highlight some of the important key factors due to which a blogger does not make money or fails to make money online.

So here is why you are not making money online with your blog:

Lack Of Traffic 


Lack of traffic is the number 1 reason why you are not making any money with your blog, The theory is very simple More traffic=More Money, Have you ever imagined why Porn websites make more million of dollars?, it's because of the traffic they are getting. The more traffic you will have the more alexa rank you will have and hence you will attract more advertisers.

Sticking to Only One Advetising Program


There are lots of bloggers out there inspite of having the right traffic, they are not making proper money with their blogs, The reason is that they are only dependent on one advertising program. There are lots of bloggers who only rely on one advertising program  like Adsense, They never think about other monetizing options. There never go after affiliate marketing which in my opinion is one of the best ways to make money online.

Their only focus is to increase traffic and rest leaving upon adsense to make them few bucks, Adsense however is a very strong monetizing method, However you can make even more with affiliate marketing, CPA   programs etc. Choosing adsense over affiliate marketing in my opinion is "Trading Dollars For pennies".

Very little Or No Advertisers


Let's say that you are not using adsense on your blog and your only source of income is by the advertisers that purchase ads on your blog. However if you do not have tons of them or those who are paying you very little amount of money then you either need to think about getting new advertisers to your blog or charge more from the existing one


Niche


This is another mistake which newbie's tend to make alot, Choosing a proper niche is very vital when it comes to blogging, Lots of bloggers blog in a niche which is either less trafficked or has very low amount of advertisers. So you should be very careful while choosing a niche.

Untargeted Traffic


I mentioned lack of traffic as the number one source why you are not making proper or desired money online, However traffic in general is divided in to two categories namely Targeted traffic and Untargeted traffic. Targeted traffic is where you make the most money. Untargeted traffic means the traffic which is not related to the topic of your blog.

 Let's take an example:

Let's say that you are blogging about "DOG Training" and  you are getting visitors who came to your blog searching for "Types Of DOGS", Would it be targeted?, Will the person who is searching for "Dog Training" be interested in "Types of DOGS". The answer is no.
